The page came out sort of dark, but anyway..... The quote is from John Muir: "I only went out for a walk and finally concluded to stay out till sundown, for going out, I found, was really going in." Lolo's theme is journeys and so I wanted to reflect the outer journey of crossing over the bridge pictured here and the inner journey as reflected in the Buddha.
I mistakenly said in a previous post that I received these pages from Joss. It was Lynn who mailed them to me. I had seen a sticker on the back of the envelope with Joss's name and thought it came from her even though I didnt understand why she was mailing to me.
I will send on to Kate soon.

This is beautiful Suki. I love all the paint that sparkles and shines. The words are wonderful, meaningful. Your placement of it all sings to me. Lolo will love it.
ReplyDeleteI just woke up from a nap and what a wonderful thing to open my eyes to! Suki, this is very much me in all ways. John Muir is one of my favorite naturalists and I try to follow the Buddah's teachings. The copper and gold that embraces the picures and quotes is just perfect. I am awestruck and in love with these pages! How you came up with such brilliance in this dreary weather is beyond me. (That's why I was in bed!)
ReplyDeleteThank you Suki. I'll look forward to getting this is back so I can touch every page!

What a beautiful page. John Muir is a hero of mine. Wonderful Suki.
ReplyDeleteit's beautiful. I think we've all been trying to reuse the packaging, so there are stickers all over with different names.
