Page for Lisa's book

'Ebony and Ivory'

I got Lisa's book a few days ago;what a wonderful cover and your page and Lo's page too. WOW!
Today I woke up with a clear idea of what I wanted to do.
It is based on this piece I finished recently, which I enjoyed doing so very much.
I used acrylic paints and sponge printed the hair, noses, eyes and mouths.
I listened to this song of while doing it.

Ebony and ivory live together in perfect harmony
Side by side on my piano keyboard,
Oh lord, why dont we?
(Paul Mc Cartney and Stevie Wonder 1982)

I think Lisa will like this.
It flies off to Marianne tomorrow. Byyyeeeeeee little book.

  1. I'm copy and pasting the same comment I left on your blog about this question:
    Yes, why don't we indeed!!!!
Ebony and Ivory! Why not? So stupid.
    Makes me so mad.
    So last century.
I am still steaming over the judge who refused last week to marry an interacial couple...saying it wouldn't be good for any children they might have. We have millions upon millions of mixed race kids in our world now and they are doing just fine thank you.
I hope he can be disbarred. De frocked...what ever they do to stupid people who shouldn't be doing the jobs they have.

    Your painting is wonderful.

  2. Hear Hear! What a super theme and painting - vibrant - would like to be able to enlarge it.... but will have to wait till it gets to me so see it!!

  3. Great page SOul, I had to look and look again.
And YES!!!!........I will be soon home and I finally can work on a book again and see all the beauty inside for myself. Can't wait!

  4. Wow, what a RICH page!! These books are going to be wonderful!!
